Healthy, low in fat, low carb, and delicious. That is what every health and fitness conscious is looking for in any food or dish. In fact, mention that and a picky eater will want to have a taste, just to see for himself.  To most people, the taste comes first before quality and nutritional balance. After all, taste is one of the major senses. Regrettably, it is only later in life that one becomes more aware of one’s health. A healthy yet great tasting food is very appealing, right? Then your potato recipes will really come in handy here.

Mashed , baked, fries, hash brown, and salads are widely known potato recipes, and without doubt, they taste great. But what’s even better?  Aside from being healthy, potatoes are easy to prepare.  This crop is cultivated almost anywhere so it’s safe from shortage and, more importantly, budget friendly.  For parents, especially moms, who prepare their family’s meals, you would want to feed your family nutritious and yet delicious dishes for nourishment.  Vital nutrients come in great amounts in vegetables, and potatoes are more acceptable to kids and picky eaters.

Serving meals that are adequate in essential vitamins and minerals for proper nutrition can be quite tricky. Nutritious meals are perceived to be bland and boring. You will need variety and a good deal of aesthetic value to come with your served meals. Easier said than done. You must take into consideration the number of meals you will prepare in a day and your time and energy. Meals that are potato-based usually have simple, time saving preparation methods.
